I am originally from Seattle, Washington but have lived in many places. My favorite place to call home and simply hang-out is Paris France. I am fortunate enough to be able to spend about five months out of the year in Paris. The remaining seven months of the year I reside in San Francisco. Thinking about that, I am pretty fortunate. I can call three of the most beautiful cities in the world home. In my spare time, I spend a lot of time dancing. I have been known to stay out until the wee hours of the morning dancing. I am a fan of the Latin dances and my favorite (which is really an addiction) is Tango. There is something about Argentine Tango that grabs hold of your soul and doesn't let go. So if anyone is interested, the next time we meet I am happy to teach you how to do a Salida Ocho (the entry steps to the Tango) or show you how to navigate a left turn in the line of dance. Having always been near water, I love the wind and the sea. I think it is the power and the vasness of those two elements that truly fascinates me. When I lived in Washington, D.C. I would get up early on a Saturday morning and drive down to the Outer Banks. Once there I would pray for a storm. Not a hurricane but enough wind to create really rough seas. You grab some coffee, a beach chair, and a blanket and you sit on the beach and simply feel the power of the wind and watch the action of the waves. That always gives me a sense of how insignificant, yet important we all are in the grand scheme of things. Our power pales against that storm but we are the witnesses to its existence. So that is a glimpse of who I am. |
