College Graduate with marketing and accounting background.  First occupation out of college was with the US Treasury, Office of the Comptroller of the Currency, Assistant National Bank Examiner.  Left the Treasury after over 3 years of field experience.  Duties included completion of an examination with reports to the Board of Directors including a presentation of findings with copies delivered to the FDIC, The Federal Reserve - Washington DC, the OCC Washington DC and OCC in our Bank Region.  Excellent opportunity to earn a MBA through the school of "hard knocks" while being paid - just couldn't stay away from my new bride 35+ weeks per year. So I helped a friend in his early years in business.  I set up his inventory controls, chart of accounts. general ledger, balance sheet, and bid quote sheets; also created a handbook of general operating practices (that business is still alive and thriving today 25 years later). During this time I worked in the telecommunications business and helped launch the first digital electronic key systems, followed by the first digital PBXs.  Then spent several months on a new technology called SMDR (Station Message Detail Recording, AKA: Call Accounting). We used it to sell clients like Wolverine World Wide, Playtex, Hospitals, Colleges, Police Departments and other users of either high traffic and/or high telecommunication expenses.  During this time I had several years of cutting edge technology and team building as well as outside sales; including presentations to company owners and purchasing decision makers.  Then life changed, after our first child was born we decided to move to Florida to take over a small publication (first opportunity to be an entrepreneur). After several years grew it into a multi-publication media company.  Still married with 7; smart, gorgeous and healthy daughters.  Love to Ski, play golf, canoe, play tennis and sail. Other hobbies include working in the yard and reading.  Originally from Michigan and love the 4 seasons, black dirt and everything outdoors -including the winter.  Middle age and ready to immerse myself in my project.  Able to stay focused yet, Multi-tasking.  What can I do for you?
